In March of last year Jean Larrivee came across approximately 30 sets of exceptional quality Silver Oak. He expected at the time that it would be at least 18 months before he would come across Silver Oak of this quality again. The sets were offered as 09 Series guitars and we ordered a P-09. In addition to sounding great this guitar is simply stunning. It features a Moon Spruce top, vine Headstock logo and Rosewood body binding. The combination of Silver Oak, sometimes known as Lacewood creates a warm crystal clear sound.

Most people expect a bright, maple-like sound from this Silver Oak, but are always surprised when they discover that it has a bass response that rivals traditional Indian Rosewood and the clarity and balance of Mahogany. On top of that, these guitars often weigh less than Larrivee's light-weight Mahogany models.
