This series reflects our 100-year tradition in string
production. The result is a premium quality string that is second to
none. All strings are coated with real 24 carat gold and are therefore
completely insensitive to tarnishing or corrosion, their durability is up to
three times higher than normal strings and they are suitable for people who are
allergic to nickel. 24K GOLD STRINGS are characterized by a brilliant
sound and the typical SOUND OF GOLD, which Frank Zappa loved among
others. And of course Brian May also plays OPTIMA 24K GOLD STRINGS on his
guitars.
24 carat gold plated (with gold plating); E1
and A2 are made of the best premium steel and are also coated with real
gold. G3 to E6 - the core of these strings is tinned hexagonal steel,
wrapped with gold-plated core wire.
