One of the key causes
of tuning frustration is string binding at the nut. Tusq alleviates
the binding grip of the nut on the string and reducing friction between
the nut material and the string. This is accomplished using a nut
manufactured from an engineered resonant base material impregnated with
Teflon. As strings move across a Tusq nut, they shear open microscopic
“capsules” loaded with millions of “ball bearing” type lubricants. For
strings, it’s like a hardwood floor covered in marbles... strings roll
back into tune. It’s that simple!
