The Yellow SR has a high-grade Sitka spruce soundboard that produces a beautiful balanced sound across the entire tonal range. The back and sides from Indian rosewood. Discreet amber appointments combined with premium tonewoods lend the Yellow SR an attractive classy look. The entire body is protected by Furch’s proprietary Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish developed to enhance the resonance qualities of tonewoods.
Baritone models are optimized to be tuned a perfect fourth lower than a regular guitar. The strings are tuned to low B, E, A, D, F#, and high B, and the fingerboard scale is extended by 60mm from the standard 650mm to 710mm. Baritone guitars feature the standard BARc body shape, i.e. BAR with cutaway. A modified bracing pattern for the best possible sound quality in the low register allows the baritone to produce a deeper, richer sound than a standard guitar.
Remarkable sound
Sound is the most important consideration for Furch guitars. Their excellent acoustic qualities are the result of state-of-the art technologies, proprietary production processes and precision craftsmanship combined with the use of the best available tonewoods.
Unique voicing process
The premium nature of the Yellow SR is underscored by the fact that the soundboard is individually tuned using the voicing process, which enhances the guitar’s tonal properties to the highest level. Thanks to that, the Yellow SR has a crystalline clear, harmonically rich, balanced, and highly dynamic sound across the entire tonal spectrum.
Special hand-brushed finish
The Yellow SR is protected by Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish, a special finish that provides excellent surface protection and accentuates the structure of the wood at the same time.
Amber appointments
The beautiful amber look of the Yellow SR is underscored by body binding made from faux tortoise, and a double ring rosette featuring a green abalone inlay and black and white lines.
Furch CNR System® Neck Design
A high precision dual-action truss rod maintains neck stability and allows fine adjustments of the neck relief in both directions. The truss rod is installed in a carbon casing filled with silicone to prevent undesirable vibrations and to ensure smooth action.
1. A fully adjustable dual-action truss rod for highly precise adjustment of the neck bow in both the convex and concave directions.
2. A highly rigid carbon casing that maintains the neck in the set position over a period much longer than is the case with standard neck joint designs and, at the same time, facilitates a gradual bow in the neck, a factor of essential importance for playability.
3. A casting made of special alloy located inside the neck heel that ensures a stable position of the neck and its angle vis-à-vis the body.
Pearl position markers
White pearl side position dots combined with Eclipse fingerboard inlays, featuring a thin white pearl contour line, improve fingerboard orientation and enhance the guitar’s beautiful appearance.
Excellent machine heads
The Yellow SR has an excellent tuning stability courtesy of Gotoh 510 Silver Patina machine heads with ebony buttons and a highly precise 1:21 gear ratio.
High-rigidity Hiscox case
Maximum protection during transport is provided by a high-rigidity Hiscox case with polyurethane insulating foam that shields the instrument from changes in external climatic conditions.
